Perpetual Lies
It seems whenever it suits the Democrats agenda they trot out a lie to try and convenience some voters that their approach is the correct one or to demonize the Republicans in some way.
Lie #1: Bush (43) was selected not elected.
We hear this one alot especially during elections, and I've even seen some "Re-defeat Bush" bumper stickers. The facts: In the 2000 election, George Bush received more votes in Florida than Al Gore and never trailed by a single vote even after a variety of recounts.
Although the Democrats want you to think the outcome of the election was ambiguous, it wasn't. Florida counted the votes as it normally would and Bush won. Counties then recounted the votes using their normal tabulation methods and Bush was verified as the winner. However, after the election, Gore wanted to change tabulation methods in Democrat counties and have yet another recount in order to find more votes and overcome George Bush's victory (changing the rules after the game was over.) Gore never asked for a state wide
recount, only a recount in known Democrat counties. This phrase ("selected, not elected") is designed to convince you that Bush's "buddies on the US Supreme Court" saw to it he was elected. It ignores the fact that Bush received more votes than Gore. It ignores the fact that it was Gore who turned Florida's election process up-side-down. As for the issue of spoiled ballots, in 24 of the 25 Florida counties with the highest ballot spoilage rate, the county supervisor was a Democrat. In the 25th county, the supervisor was an Independent.
Lie #2: Blacks will be intimidated into not voting, just like Florida in 2000.
According to The WSJ: In June 2001, following a six-month investigation that included subpoenas of Florida state officials from Governor Jeb Bush on down, the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights issued a report that found no evidence of voter intimidation, no evidence of voter harassment, and no evidence of intentional or systematic disenfranchisement of black voters.
Lie #3: There must be a "separation of church and state."
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
I dont see that phrase or anything close to it in there. What are those judges smoking?
